Cozy Sweater Workshop | Learn Brick Stitch - Level 2

Choose your colours, learn brick stitch and leave with a miniature beaded sweater made by you.

Join us for a three-hour guided workshop learning Miyuki brick stitch. You’ll follow a bead chart, shape your miniature sweater and complete the piece from start to finish.

This is a Level 2 workshop. You don’t need previous brick-stitch experience, but you should be comfortable working with a needle and thread.

What you’ll learn

• How to create a ladder-stitch foundation
• The fundamentals of Miyuki brick stitch
• How to create increases and decreases to shape your sweater
• How to read and follow a brick-stitch bead chart
• Thread tension, needle control and colour changes
• How to start, add and finish thread cleanly
• How to finish your sweater and attach the final hardware

• All workshops take place in downtown Toronto If the venue isn’t listed on your receipt, we’ll send the confirmed location one week before the workshop
• Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time
• Doors close when the workshop begins and late entry is not available
• Tickets are non-refundable

Good to know

• About Level 2: No brick-stitch experience is required, however, this workshop is best for anyone who has tried beadwork before or feels comfortable with detailed handwork.  If you’re completely new and want the easiest place to begin, start with our Level 1 workshops.

• We use small beads and fine needles, so bring your glasses if you use them for close-up work
