Frequently asked questions

I've never done bead weaving before. Which workshop should I book?

Level 1 workshops are designed for complete beginners. No experience is required and we'll guide you through every step of the process. Alternatively, you can attend "Touch Grass Series" events to get familiar with the craft and community.

What's the difference between Levels 1, 2, and 3?

Our workshops are assigned difficulty levels to help you choose the right project for your comfort level.

Level 1 workshops are designed for complete beginners and require no previous experience.

Level 2 workshops introduce techniques that require a little more patience and precision. Beginners are welcome, but returning students and crafty individuals may find these projects easier to complete.

Level 3 workshops feature our most intricate techniques and are best suited for confident makers who enjoy detailed work and a challenge.

There are no prerequisites, you're welcome to join whichever project speaks to you.

What's included in the workshop?

All materials, tools, instruction, and light refreshments are included. Whenever possible, we also partner with brands we love to provide complimentary goodie bags filled with samples, special offers, and thoughtful surprises for attendees.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. Everything you'll need for the workshop will be provided.

Are your workshops kid-friendly?

Our workshops use very small Miyuki beads, fine needles, and techniques that require patience and attention to detail. For this reason, they are best suited for teens and adults.

Mature younger participants are welcome when accompanied by an adult, provided they're comfortable working with small materials and following detailed instructions.

Why bead weaving?

Bead weaving is a meditative, artistic, and deeply rewarding craft. Many participants tell us they come for the project but leave loving the process, the focus, rhythm, and satisfaction of creating something beautiful one bead at a time.
